Eric's animation and NBCWeatherPlus.

Eric created this animation - I want to use a similar one for the Storms of 2006 intro. It's pretty darn cool!

In other news: NBCWeatherPlus has subscribed to my videos on YouTube. I guess this means they will pick up some of my tornado footage in the future. Pretty cool!

YouTube user NBCWeatherPlus has just subscribed to your videos! YouTube Subscriptions allows a user to be notified when another user adds new videos.
So from now on, when you add new public videos, NBCWeatherPlus will be notified.

Digging out, the snow is over.

Final snow depth for our house from this storm: 24"!

As fast as it came in the snowstorm has moved on and we can now see down to Denver. Amanda digs a path around our plow to go get gas so we can plow ourselves completely out.

18" of snow at our house and still falling!

Last night we got dumped on - atleast 18" here. I ran the plow out of gas trying to dig out our driveway. Jeffco mountain schools are closed so we'll likely be stuck here for awhile!

Blizzard in e CO - Tornadoes in KS!

Edit: Day 2 is out and shows the trend towards bringing this system back west!

Latest WRF has slowed the incoming system considerably making a sc KS chase a real possibility now. Major downside is that on the cold side of this system is a potential blizzard in e CO!

Wichita HWO:
ON THURSDAY...THUNDERSTORMS ARE FORECAST FOR ALL OF SOUTH-CENTRALAND SOUTHEAST KANSAS...AND MAY BE QUITE STRONG WITH 3/4 INCHDIAMETER HAIL AND GUSTS AROUND 50 MPH.

2" of fresh powder

Latest image from Verne's mobile picture phone. Abasin is open! I got up this morning for a couple of rides on my board before the crowds got too big. The one run that is open is actually pretty decent for so early in the year. A new lodge is under construction at the top of the Exibition lift, very nice!

ABasin is open!

Latest image from Verne's mobile picture phone. ABasin becomes the first Ski Area in north America to open on Friday the 13th.
