...WINTER STORM HEADING TOWARDS COLORADO....A DEVELOPING STORM SYSTEM ACROSS THE WEST COAST WILL INTENSIFY ASIT MOVES ACROSS COLORADO ON SUNDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY. SNOW WILLINITIALLY SPREAD ACROSS THE MOUNTAINS DURING THE DAY ONSUNDAY...THEN SPREAD OUT OVER THE PLAINS SUNDAY EVENING. AT THISTIME THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR HEAVY SNOW DURING A 6 TO 12 HOURPERIOD SUNDAY NIGHT INTO MONDAY MORNING...ESPECIALLY ACROSS THE PALMERDIVIDE REGION AND SOUTHERN FRONT RANGE FOOTHILLS. JEFFERSON...DOUGLAS...ELBERTAND ARAPAHOE COUNTIES WILL BE THE MOST VULNERABLE FOR THE HEAVYSNOW. LIGHTER SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED FURTHER NORTH TOWARDS THEWYOMING AND NEBRASKA BORDER.IN ADDITION...STRONG NORTHERLY WINDS WILL DEVELOP SUNDAY EVENINGAND CONTINUE THROUGH MONDAY. SUSTAINED WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH ANDGUSTS TO 50 MPH WILL CREATE BLOWING SNOW AND POOR VISIBILITIESACROSS EASTERN COLORADO.
