The Live Streaming Dome Cam is something I have been working on off and on for a few years now. I started fiddling with remotely operated cams back in March 2009 with a Telephone pole mounted camera I called the Scarecrow.
It has proved itself reliable enough that I have decided to highlight it's construction here on our blog and offer a detailed parts list and plans for it's assembly. (see below)
Over the next few weeks as I build a new one I will add assembly steps and pictures.
Live stream and record on your laptop. Record on the camera as well.
Fully controllable from inside the car by joystick.
Easily deployed and removed using a ski rack for mounting.
Continuous 360 free rotation on Pan.
Adjustable Tilt from below horizon to straight up.
Wind-driven Waterproof and highway tested to 85 mph.
Zoom Control option.
Vibration isolation option.
Estimated Parts Total: $600*
*Does not include Video Camera, Cable and PowerSupply or Ski Rack.
