Waiting for storms

We are waiting just outside Hobbes, NM for storms to fire. A tornado watch is up for the area! Well we effectively chased away each storm as soon as we approached they would die off. We ended up chasing far south beyond Odessa, TX into the bad road networks. On a more upbeat note I was able to test out the TWISTEX plane today and after a few rough takeoff attempts I was able to get it up in the air and prove out the drop mechanism! The power was a little weak so I upgraded to 2 - 4 cell Lipo battery packs instead of the single 5 cell pack greatly increasing the power. Will be using that configuration from now on and will send back the 5 cells for a refund.
