First chase of the year!

Latest image from Verne's mobile picture phone. Heading home along I-70 and Deertrail, CO. Total mileage for this trip was 480 miles. I basically shot out to Burlington on the western edge of the weak dryline and waited for a while. When it was becoming apparent that nothing was going to happen in w KS (a cirus shield moved over and cut off max heating for the day) I headed south towards the cells near Amarillo, TX hoping to catch something coming north out of the panhandles. Nothing really build north towards me so it would've been too far to reach by 5:45pm sunset. Thanks to Katie for nowcasting for me!
