This weekend is looking less and less attractive as the target area shifts to a narrow band in the eastern TX panhandle with Childress becoming the likely target. This would be a long haul from Denver and the parameters are just not looking that great to me. The most obvious thing missing from this setup is the upper air support. All that is left at 500mb is weak westerly flow over the middle CONUS ridge. Probably not sufficient enough for sustained updrafts for tornadoes or large hail.
Of course I could be coaxed out if things change between now and Friday.
With that said, look at next Tuesday in western and central KS.... ;-)
